World Traveler

Jim Powell | December 10, 2007–January 19, 2008

A native of Philadelphia, Jim Powell has spent the last ten years traveling the world seeking out different cultures and different life experiences. It was during these travels that his lifelong interest in photography really took off. He hoped, through his work, to inspire others to travel the world and expose them to a life outside the bubble of existence in which so many people get caught.

Once Powell’s work started getting published, he realized a potential to turn his passion into a profession. As he perfected his skills, the scope of his photography expanded from mostly landscape and travel shots into portraits, weddings and live band photography. Powell currently resides in Denver, but he might be found anywhere in the country, either opening exhibitions of his work in galleries, shooting weddings, or just seeking out new areas to shoot.
